Guitarist Sigurdur Rögnvaldsson releases a new album 'Lúna' with a brand-new lineup. The album, to be released on December 8th through Eclipse Music label, features Rögnvaldsson’s favorite musicians: pianist Tuomas A. Turunen, bassist Jori Huhtala, and drummer Tatu Rönkkö.

The overall sound of the album leans towards 70s jazz rock and fusion, accompanied by Fender Rhodes and analog synthesizers. The band's sound is rich and the improvisations are wild.

Sigurdur has been living in Helsinki since 2011 and has been an active part of the Finnish jazz scene for the last decade. 'Siggi’s' own band projects Sigurdur Rögnvaldsson’s Dark Forest, Equally Stupid, and Sähkökitarakvartetti have made several fine recordings, and he has also played as a regular member in Aili Järvelä’s band and in singer Anni Elif’s Emma-nominated project, Edith. In November, he will play for the second time with the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra.
